- The Organ Clock :
Life in all organisms has a Diurnal –Nocturnalrhythm, which is inbuilt and set to function at the time of birth and tocontinue till death. Various scientificschools have interpreted this rhythm in different ways, but never completely,as explained by the Organ clock theory of Acupuncture. The Organ clock theory states that each ofthe twelve organs has an excitation period of two hours in a regular clockpattern. Thus, LU gets natural excitation between 3:00 Am and 5:00 Am; LIis hyperactive between 5:00 Am and 7:00Am (The urge for evacuation of bowels around 6:00 Am is an universal evidence);ST is excited from 7:00 Am to 9:00 Am (The time for breakfast); 9:00 to11:00 Am is the time for SP, and 11:00 Am to 01:00 Pm is the excitationperiod of H (Incidences of Noon Heart attacks are well known); 01:00 to03:00 Pm is the time of SI, and 3:00 to 5:00 Pm is the activation periodof UB. The K, P, SJ, GB and LIV channelsare excited sequentially, till 3:00 Am.
The order of the Organ excitation time on a 24hour clock is tabulated below:

Based on the peak occurrences of symptoms in theailing patients, the disturbed Organ can be easily diagnosed using the Organ clock scheme. In the advanced lessons, the selection oftime for treatment of the patient based on the Organ clock theory will be further discussed.
