KASHAYAM


This is the water extraction of active principles of Medicinal plants. Cleaned, disintegrated raw materials are boiled with water and is reduced.


DOSAGE :
Mix 15 ml Kashayam in 45 - 60 ml boiled and cooled water, use two times daily, preferably in empty stomach or before food. Half the quantity for children.

1.AMRUTHOT'HARAM KASHAYAM: (Sahasrayogam)- Used in prolonged Fever, Jaundice, Inflammatory conditions etc. Also can be used in early stages of Rheumatic fever.

KASHAYA CHOORNAMS


Kashaya Choornams are disintegrated
(coarsely powdered) combination of raw drugs. These are meant for making decoctions.



DOSAGE :
50 g. coarse powder is to be boiled with 800 ml of water and reduced to 200 ml. After filtering, it is again reduced to 100 ml. Use 100 ml and taken 50 ml twice daily in empty stomach or as advised by the Physician.
