RASAYNA DRUGS-DETAILS

1. PrathamaBrahma Rasayana

Laghu Panchmula

Brihat Panchmula

Punarvadi Panchmula

Jivaniya Panchmula

Truna Panchmula

Procedure: Take all the above 50 hers, 50gms, each andadd 10 times water. Preparedecoction. Add 100 haritaki and 3000amalaki fruits to the decoction.

2. DvitiyaBrahma Rasayana

Take 1000 fruits of amalaki, removethe seeds and cook them well in milk. Then dry the mixture in sun and triturate it with the juice ofamalaki. Add punarnava, jivanti, bala, nagabala,shatavari, pippali, agaru, shankhapushpi and vidanga. Triturate the mixture again with the juice ofnegabala.

4.Medicated Ghee of Amalaki

Take fresh amalaki fruits andextract juice from them. Add ¼ pasteor punarnava and then prepare medicated ghee.


5. HartitakyadiRasayana

Prepare decoction of of haritaki,amalaki, bibhitaki and panchmula. Add toit paste prepared from the mixture of pippali, licorice, kakoli, kshirakkaoli,kapikacchu, jivaka and rishbhaka.

Add juice of vidari, milk, ghee and prepare medicated ghee.



6.Bhallataka

Charaka has also explained variousrasayana preparations of this fruit. Bhallataka kshira, bhallataka ghrita,bhallataka y yoga, bhallataka yusha, bhallataka palal, bhallataka sakru,bhallataka taila and bhallakataka kshaudra.

7. LauhadiRasayana

Prepare thin sheets of iron, heatthem till they become red hot and then dip it in decoction of triphala,l cow'surine, and water mixed with plant alkalis of jyotismari, and palasha,

After one year start using therasayana, which is excellent for preventing all geriatric diseases.

8. TriphalaRasayana

Charaka has explained 4 differenttypes of rasayana of triphala. In thefirst only triphala powder has been advised before and after food. This shouldbe taken mixed with honey and ghee.

In all other types triphala shouldbe taken with various herbs or metals like gold or iron.


9.Shilajatu Rasayana

Four typesof shilajatu are available, out of which the one having more iron is best.

10.Abbhayamalakavaleha

Take fruits of haritaki and amalakiwith double quantity of pippalifruits. Put all these in the water mixedwith the kshara of palasha.

11.Pancharavinda ghrita

Prepare paste from kamala nala,kanda, beeja, leaves and kamala keshar. Add ghee, milk, suvarna oxide and prepare paka.

12.Nagabala Rasayana

At the beginning of shared ritu, onthe day of pushya nakshatra, collectnagabala with its roots, prepare its paste and take the same with cow milk orwith honey.

13.Gokshura Rasayana

Take panchanga of gokshura andpowder the same, then triturate it withthe juice or decoction of gokshura 7 times and take it with cow milk

14. SomarajiRasayana

Prepare decoction of asana orkhadira with its sara and triturate the same with bakuchi decoction. Add honey, ghee, chitrakamula, hatitaki andlohabhasma.

15.Tuvaraka Rasayana

Collect the fruits of tuvaraka atthe beginning of rainy season. Extractoil from the same. Before taking thisrasayana, first purify the body of the person and then give this rasayana. This is useful in removing kushtha disease.


16.Vardhmana – pippali Rasayana

This is unit increase and unitdecrease method of rasayana. This shouldbe started from 5,7 or 11 pippali on the first day and then increase onepippali every day till reaching 15 or 21 and start reducing one pippali everyday. This should be continued for 3months.
