It is a process in which the patient is administered drugs,diet and a change of atmosphere to break the routine of addiction. Requiredmedical and counselling support is also provided as withdrawal symptoms (commonlycalled "turkey") like disorientation, sleeplessness, restlessnessoften occur during detoxification.
